History:
Elgin Blue Wave Swim Team has been in existence since 1987 with Corrine Grotenhuis as the founding head coach. She remains head coach to this day. ILMSA practice starts in October and goes through May with practices at the Elgin Recreation Center: Workout and meet schedules

Coach Corrine was recognized as “Coach of the Year” from ILMSA. The presentation was at the state meet in April. This selection was based on the coach who excels in all required areas of coaching and professionalism relating to ILMSA. We are proud to have such a great coach working with us.
